About the Event

Our Summer Special Virtual Concert, featuring Italian pianist/composer, Francesco Berta performing from Brescia, Italy.

Berta brings a sensitivity to the keys in his solo piano performance which transports any listener to travel inward to refresh the mind.

In his own words, "I want to communicate that it's ok to feel, and it's ok to feel not ok every now and then. I don't want to offer an absurdily positive contrast, but speak to their feelings, and insecurities. Given the positive melancholy of my music, I really hope to establish a meaningful connection. Through my music I was never afraid of going in sad, melancholic directions. It's an exploration through ourselves, and allowing our inner self to feel and accepting the fact that we're struggling, we can form a deeper connection with our feelings. Instead of rejecting them, we accept them."

Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience Francesco Berta's in a virtual concert. Take this time to unplug from distractions and feel the remarkable, breath-taking music to renew the rest of your work day and week.

Delivering virtual concerts and curated playlists designed to evoke relaxation and a calm mind in the middle of the work day.

This virtual concert is sponsored by the UCLA Health CICARE Service Excellence Team celebrating Virtual Hospital & Clinics Recognition Week.

I. "Endurómur (An Echo From The Past)"

II. "Étude No. 5 (The Passage of Time)"

III. "Love Theme", which was recently featured in Spotify's curated playlist "The Magnificent Piano"

IV. "Intimacy"

In the first ten years of his career Francesco has been able to collect a substantial list of wide-ranging achievements: from conducting his own music in the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London to releasing an impressive number of albums as a solo artist; scoring movies and documentaries to directing award-winning short films.

Francesco’s work ethic is second to none, but his greatest asset is, undoubtedly, his unconditional love for film: having a bachelor’s degree in Film Technology and a burning desire to create stories that will stand the test of time.

Drawn to simplicity and driven by a fanatical attention to detail, Francesco creates music that blurs the lines between ambient, electronic and orchestral.

His instinctive use of acoustic instruments combines the elegance of traditional orchestration with complex, electronic landscapes, melding into emotive and exquisitely elegant hybrid-orchestral compositions.

Francesco’s music takes listeners on a passionate journey through images and emotions, creating stories and shaping memories.
