Don't miss award-winning Women in Jazz Ensemble, perform on stage at UCLA's Semel Institute Auditorium located in the heart of Westwood Village.
Isabel Debrov is a second-year pursuing a B.A. in Global Jazz Studies at UCLA, specializing in the string bass. She has been playing both orchestral and jazz bass for 9 years and plays in various different ensembles at UCLA.
Kimiko Daniels, is a third year student majoring in Ethnomusicology, with a concentration in Jazz Studies. In the Jazz Studies department,she plays the piano in various combos and ensembles such as the UCLA Jazz Orchestra.
Glynnis McNamara is a Global Jazz Studies major specializing in saxophone performance. In UCLA’s Ethnomusicology department she plays baritone saxophone and bass clarinet in the Contemporary Jazz Ensemble and Mingus Ensemble.
Mindful Music concerts are a dose of awe in the middle of the day aiming to refresh your mind and improve your productivity at work. Our hand picked, award-winning musicians, (you typically wouldn’t find anywhere else), bring a unique approach and passion to their performance. The 12:15 Series at the Semel Institute Auditorium occurs on the first & third Thursdays of the month.
